Adobe has recently announced that Magento v2.3.x will reach its end of support (EOS) in September 2022, meaning that no security patches, bug fixes, or PCI compliance updates will be available as of October 2022.
Without the opportunity to upgrade the core codebase it gets harder if yet possible to keep your platform secure, reliable, and performant. Keeping your store on Magento 2.3 after the EOS is at your own risk.
That is why Adobe urges all customers to upgrade to version 2.4.x to avoid possible security threats and compatibility issues. We strongly advise that you follow the recommendation, as otherwise your store and customer data will be exposed to multiple security risks.
To ensure that our customers are able to comply with Adobe recommendations, we would like to announce that all technical updates (compatibility with the latest Magento versions and bugfixes) will be provided free of charge as part of the original license agreement.
For products purchased by subscription
In order to receive support services and feature updates for products purchased by annual subscription after February 1, 2022, you need to keep the product subscription active.
For products purchased by one-time payment model
In order to facilitate your access to support services and feature updates for products purchased before February 1, 2022, we advise that you activate any of the Support Subscription plans. Such a subscription will grant you full access to advanced support services for your entire account and feature updates for all modules you purchased before February 1, 2022 by one-time payment model.
