However, prior to configuring the Magento 2 extension, you should install (setup) Elasticsearch engine to your server. There are various nuances when it comes to installing, as it needs different approaches depending on the system your server uses.

To install Elasticsearch on Magento 2, you need to set up a proxy. Next, configure secure communication between Apache and Elasticsearch. For this, install htpasswd, create a password file, add other users. Finally, use a curl command to verify cluster status. After this, you can start configuring search in Magento admin.

If you use one Elasticsearch instance for more than one Magento installation, specify a unique prefix for each installation. If not, use the default magento2 prefix.
