Fresh Updates to Amasty Extensions – May 2024

In May, our team again put a lot of effort into upgrading and polishing our extensions. These updates are all about making your Magento store experience smoother for you. Check out the details below to see what’s new.

Instagram Feed for Magento

• We confirmed that the module is compatible with Magento 2.4.7
• We updated the API version used in the module
• We added more details into module notifications when an access token is invalid during post generation
• We introduced support for special characters in the posts
• We fixed the display of the Single Post widget in the frontend and post details page in the backend
• We corrected the behavior of Single Post widgets that contain invalid URLs
• We resolved the error with database duplicates if one post matches 2+ hashtags from module settings

Advanced Product Reviews

• We added the possibility to perform CRUD actions on Product Reviews via REST API (Note: The compatibility is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• Now the ability to leave a review may be limited and available only to registered customers who have purchased the product (Note: The functionality is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• We added new Mass Actions for approving reviews, allowing them to be approved based on product-assigned store views or by website
• We fixed the issue with displaying a ‘Verified Buyer’ label"

Admin Actions Log

• Now the extension logs changes that were made via the API (Note: The compatibility is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• The 'Restore' action now works correctly
• The mechanism for deleting records from the “Visit History” grid was adjusted according to the availability of “Session Start” and “Session End” data"

ChatGPT AI Content Generator

• We added the ability to choose the content generation provider: whether you prefer to use your own OpenAI key or the Amasty AI service for content generation

Blog Pro

• Now new social networks Telegram and Snapchat and the updated Twitter (X) Social Button icon are also available for Hyvä Theme
• We added pagination to the canonical URL and now it links to the currently open page
• We improved the performance and speed of processing likes on posts
• We fixed the issue with incorrect post search results for different store views
• We eliminated the problem with searching using special characters
• We fixed the display of the contents of a post with the status 'Hidden' when accessed via a direct URL
• We solved the issue with an incorrect redirect when unsubscribing from a newsletter
• We fixed the functionality of the Amasty\Blog\Model\Repository::getByIdAndStore method

Cross Linking

• We added compatibility with Amasty Blog Pro allowing to specify Blog Post pages as references (Note: The compatibility is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• We added compatibility with Amasty FAQ and Product Questions so now it is possible to specify FAQ pages as references (Note: The compatibility is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• We developed compatibility with Amasty Product Tabs enabling the display of cross-links in custom tabs (Note: The compatibility is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• Minor enhancements were made to default settings values to prevent issues with extension configuration
• We solved the issue with searching and filtering on the 'All Brands Page' when cross-link keywords match the brand names
• We fixed the display of a cross-link on the posts page if the 'Display Read Time' setting is enabled

Customer Attributes

• We added a new REST API endpoint to get option label by option ID: /V1/amasty_customerattributes/optionData?optionId=
• We improved the compatibility with Amasty One Step Checkout. Now sort order of the attributes among the checkout fields will remain
• We fixed the format of the Date attribute on the checkout page
• We resolved the issue where the attribute label of the default store view always showed on the customer grid
• We eliminated the issue of the default value not being saved for the attribute type ‘Multiple Checkbox Select with Images’
• We fixed the behavior where a value of the Yes/No attribute didn’t show up on the order details page if a non-default value was selected

Full Page Cache Warmer for Magento 2

• Now the extension is compatible with Magento 2.4.7
• We fixed the issue with the Number of Visits statistics in the Activity Log
• We resolved the issue of the pages not warmed from the text file and sitemap when warming by store view is enabled
• We increased the max URL length to avoid the ‘Unable to save new activity’ error
• We eliminated the issue where the module didn’t crawl non-default store pages when the Add Store Code to URLs setting was enabled
• We improved page warming per customer group. Now tier prices will be correctly displayed on warmed pages
• We resolved the issue with the Multi-Process Warming. Now the pages that couldn’t be warmed due to a 404 error will be removed from the queue as expected

Google Analytics 4 with GTM Support

• The security vulnerability was resolved by detecting corrupted data
• Compatibility: the extension with the Hyvä Theme is compatible with Magento 2.4.7
• Now compatibility with Google Enhanced Conversion is also available for Hyvä Theme
• We fixed the error that occurred when removing a product from the cart"
• We now the 'select_item' and 'view_cart' events are tracked as they should

Gift Card Pro

• We improved the display of store view options in the 'Send from the Following Store View' setting by structuring them
• We improved the functionality of the 'Send from the Following Store View' setting, which now automatically populates the store view from which the order was placed
• We now all the necessary data is displayed in emails to customers when the 'Assign Gift Card to Customer Account' setting is enabled
• We fixed the functionality of the Gift Card schedule delivery date picker
• We resolved the issue with Gift Cards applying on the Klarna Checkout

Improved Layered Navigation

• Improvement: minor improvements in system messages to avert problems with extension configuration
• We added a patch to enable cache type functionality
• Now, for an Improved Navigation Page, you can save an unlimited number of categories
• We solved a problem with filtering when the 'Yes/No' attribute is being used
• We fixed the issue with long loading of module configuration and attributes pages when there are a large number of categories
• We solved the problem with displaying a subcategory in the Children Categories Block if its category permissions are disabled
• We fixed the display of the Price filter slider for the mobile version of the site
• The banner on the Category Page (Below the ‘Add to Cart’ Button) is now displayed correctly when Ajax is enabled
• We fixed wrapping filter option text to the next line when its length exceeds the size of the filter block
• We resolved the issue with the canonical URL of product pages if the get parameter is added
• We eliminated the error that occurred when saving an attribute
• We fixed the issue with SEO-friendly URLs for Attributes

Mega Menu Pro

• We refactored the module code to resolve performance issues (Please note: This update is backward incompatible)
• The hamburger menu now displays the correct tabs for authorized users

Meta Tags Templates

• Improvement: minor improvements in settings comments to prevent issues with extension configuration
• We fixed compatibility with Amasty Elastic Search. Now products’ short description in the search popup is displayed correctly
• The issue with the infinite reindexing process was resolved
• Emojis in meta tags and titles are now displayed correctly

Omnibus Price Tracker

• We added the ability to display Child products of Configurable products with their own Omnibus price instead of the parent product's Omnibus price
• The 'Hide Omnibus Price' setting was added for each product individually to allow for more flexible display options of the Omnibus prices
• We added a 'Restore' button that allows you to clear and refresh the 'Price Change History' log, capturing the latest product price updates
• We fixed product image updates via API
• Now the Omnibus price is displayed alongside the stock status of gift cards, as intended

One Step Checkout

• We optimized the loading of the Checkout page to improve performance
• We eliminated the issue with loading the Checkout page on Magento version 2.4.7 (Please note: Compatibility with Magento versions up to 2.3.7 is no longer supported)

Pre Order

• We resolved compatibility issues with Amasty Automatic Related Products so now the Cart page loads correctly
• We fixed the error on the product page that occurred when the Default Pre-Order Note and Pre-Order Note settings were not filled in
• The console error when a product does not have a swatch attribute was eliminated

Product Labels

• We improved the cache-clearing process for blocks in the label indexer to enhance the accuracy of the label display
• We fixed the incorrect calculation of {SAVE_PERCENT} on labels when the special price for the product is greater than the discount according to the rule
• We solved the issue with removing the foreign key after reindexing

Shipping Table Rates

• We added a new {interval} variable to display the delivery interval (Note: The functionality is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• Now it is possible to specify countries in one line in import files (Note: The functionality is available as part of an active product subscription or support subscription)
• We fixed the issue with incorrect rate display for US postcodes that include a hyphen-separated additional parameter
• We solved the problem with validating rates for the UK when entering postcodes without a space

Shop by Brand

• Improvement: minor improvements in system messages to avert problems with extension configuration

• Now, when the ‘Allow All Products per Page’ setting is enabled in Magento configuration, this option also appears in the ‘Product Merchandising’ tab in the ‘per page’ setting
