How to integrate Magento with AEM?

Magento 2 is an e-commerce platform with some elements of a content management system (CMS). However, the functionality available out-of-box may not be enough to create engaging content and customize the customer experience. That is why Adobe offers Magento and AEM integration.

What is AEM?

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a CMS that allows you to create, edit, and manage content in different channels. It has built-in features that allow you to create not only a website but also forms and communities. Moreover, it is integrated with other products from the Adobe ecosystem, including Adobe Analytics, Target, and Creative Cloud.

How to build AEM and Magento integration?

AEM and Magento are integrated via the Commerce Integration Framework (CIF). It allows AEM to access and communicate with the Magento instance using GraphQL API. That's why it is required to have at least GraphQL API version 2.3.5. For detailed information, check out the official documentation, or you can delegate the integration process to our custom development team.

AEM and Magento: headless integration

AEM can be integrated with Magento as a part of a headless e-commerce solution. It is a highly flexible system and supports different integration options, including hybrid and project-specific patterns.
