How to set up New Relic Reporting in Magento 2 Commerce Cloud?

Magento 2 Commerce Cloud comes with New Relic integration. Magento 2 New Relic is an APM software that monitors application performance and sends notifications if it finds any glitches.

Let’s see how to configure the integration.

Step 1. Go to the New Relic website and create a new account. 

Step 2. Save the following information:

  • Account ID
  • Application ID
  • New Relic API Key
  • Insights API Key

You will need it for further configurations. 

Step 3. Next, you need to install New Relic APM on your server via the PHP agent.

Step 4. Log in to Magento 2 admin panel and navigate to Stores > Settings > Configuration.

Step 5. In the General tab, click New Relic Reporting and open the General section.

Step 6. Enable New Relic Integration.

Step 7. In the Insights API URL field, replace the % symbol with your New Relic Account ID.

Step 8. Enter your Account ID, Application ID, API Key, and Insights API Key.

Step 9. In the New Relic Application Name field, fill in the name of the integration that will be displayed in the admin panel.

Step 10. If needed, you can Send Adminhtml and Frontend as Separate Apps.

Step 11. Open the Cron section and Enable Cron for New Relic Reporting.

Step 12. When ready, save the configurations.

After this, you will be able to track web transaction time, transaction throughput, MySQL queries, application code profiling, and key transactions. New Relic report will find bottlenecks in Magento 2 performance and help you fix them.
