How to configure a free shipping cart rule in Magento 2?
Free shipping is one of the effective marketing tactics used in online sales to attract customers and increase the average cheque. You can use our Free Shipping Bar extension to enhance free shipping. Let’s see how to set up the free shipping cart price rule in Magento 2.
Step 1. Navigate to Stores > Settings > Configuration.
Step 2. Open the Sales section and go to Delivery Methods.
Step 3. Switch the Enable setting to Yes in the Free Shipping dropdown.
Step 4. Specify the Title and Method Name. (System value can be used)
Step 5. Define the Minimum Order Amount, which will be enough to include free shipping on the order.
Step 6. Choose between Yes and No options in the Include Tax to Amount setting:
Step 7. Specify the Displayed Error Message to be shown when free shipping is not possible.
Step 8. Specify the Ship to Applicable Countries setting by choosing one of two dropdown options.
Step 9. Choose Yes or No in the Show Method if Not Applicable setting.
Step 10. Define the Sort Order number to set the position of free shipping in the list of shipping methods at checkout. (0 = first, 1 = second)
Step 11. Save Config.
Step 12. Enable free shipping in carrier configuration by scrolling to the Delivery Methods section and choosing the needed carrier:
Step 13. Choose Free Method to set free shipping.
Step 14. You can Enable Free Shipping Threshold if you want to set a minimum order requirement for free shipping. If you choose to enable this option, you need to define a Free Shipping Amount Threshold.
Step 15. Save Config.
