Will you launch an annual or monthly product subscription?
On February 1, 2022 we’re launching annual subscriptions only, meaning that the billing period for the subscription will be 1 calendar year.
Will the product subscription affect both CE and EE?
Yes, the product subscription will be launched for both the Community (Open-Source) Edition and Enterprise (Commerce) Edition of Amasty extensions.
I have several extensions purchased before February 1, 2022 and an active support subscription. Will I have to re-purchase the extensions to receive the updates?
Not at all. You don’t need to re-purchase the extensions - you will get both support and all updates for those extensions for as long as you keep the support subscription active.
And if I have the support subscription but cancel it after February 1, 2022?
If you cancel the subscription but want to receive the updates and support, you will need to activate a product subscription.
I have a number of extensions purchased before February 1, 2022 but don’t have a support subscription. Will I not receive any updates?
You will continue receiving updates until August 1, 2022 as part of the grace period. After August 1, 2022 in order to continue receiving updates, you will need to activate a product subscription.
What will happen if I don’t have a support subscription but need support after February 1, 2022?
You will need to activate a product subscription for the extensions(s) you require support for.
I have extensions purchased before February 1, 2022 and want to purchase more. How will that work for me if I want to have access to the updates?
If you have an active support subscription, it will cover the updates for all the extensions you purchased before February 1, 2022. For all extensions you purchase after February 1, 2022, updates will came as part of the product subscription along with the support.
How much will it cost me to activate the product subscription during the grace period?
During the grace period you can activate a product subscription at a discounted rate of 40% of the original product price.
I cancelled my support subscription. Can I re-activate it?
Unfortunately, you cannot reactivate the support subscription after February 1, 2022. The only way to receive updates and support is to activate a product subscription.
Can I cancel my product subscription?
Yes, you can cancel it at any time. In this case, you will keep access to the support service for the product and updates until the subscription end date.
Can I renew my product subscription?
If you cancelled the subscription and want to renew it, you can do it from your Customer Account. Please note that an additional renewal fee will apply (20% of the actual product price).
Can I continue using the extension if I don’t have a support or product subscription?
Yes, you may continue using the original code base for as long as you like.
You’re still selling Support Subscription Pro and Premium. Do they grant access to the updates too?
Support Subscriptions Pro and Premium are an add-on to the Lite support that is part of the product subscription. If you have one or more product subscriptions in your account, you may purchase PRO or PREMIUM support additionally to get the extra services they offer for your entire account.
